Unruly Music

Performances begin @ 7:30pm.

Unruly Music explores contemporary trends in chamber music, improvisation, electronic sound and multimedia, spanning a wide variety of genres and styles.

Thurs, Mar 27: The legendary Twin Cities quartet Zeitgeist presents an evening of new music for clarinet, piano, and two percussionists, featuring works created by UWM students and faculty expressly for the ensemble.

Fri, Mar 28: The Bent Frequency Duo (Jan Berry Baker, saxophones, and Stuart Gerber, percussion) present a program of new commissions including works by Wisconsin composers Jeff Herriott and Kevin Schlei.

Sat, Mar 29: Bay Area-based avant oboist Kyle Bruckmann’s long-standing ensemble Wrack performs …Awaits Silent Tristero’s Empire, a “free jazz phantasmagoria” inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s novels V., The Crying of Lot 49, and Gravity’s Rainbow.
